Welcome to Unfade - A match-making platform connecting buyers and sellers! These Seller Policies outline the terms and conditions governing your participation as a seller on our platform. By registering as a seller and using our services, you agree to comply with these policies.
Receiving Payments
- Upon completion of a transaction, the total order amount will be reflected in the seller's Razorpay Linked Account.
- Razorpay, in accordance with its terms and conditions, will deduct applicable charges (around 3%) and transfer the net amount (Transaction Amount) to the seller's bank account.
Product Eligibility: Handmade Items
- Exclusive Focus on Handmade Products: Unfade exclusively deals in handmade products. Handmade items are defined as items that are made and/or designed by you, the seller.
- Criteria for Handmade Items: If you sell handmade items on our platform, you must physically make or create the original designs for your items.
Payment Gateway Charges Unfade is not responsible for any charges incurred by sellers through the Razorpay payment gateway. Sellers are responsible for understanding and managing their own payment gateway fees.
GST Responsibility Sellers are solely responsible for determining their GST (Goods and Services Tax) applicability based on their product category and revenue. Unfade is not responsible for verifying the GST status of sellers.
Product Listings and Selling
- Eligibility: Only handmade products crafted by the seller are eligible for listing on Unfade. The platform exclusively supports the sale of unique, artisanal items created by the seller
- Product Authenticity: Sellers must ensure the authenticity of the listed handmade products. Products should be genuinely crafted by the seller, and any mass-produced or commercially manufactured items are strictly prohibited.
- Accurate Descriptions: Sellers are responsible for providing accurate and detailed descriptions of their handmade products. This includes precise specifications, materials used, dimensions, and any other relevant information to assist buyers in making informed decisions.
- Quality Images: High-quality images of the actual handmade products should accompany each listing. Images should accurately represent the product's appearance, color, and features.
- Pricing Transparency: Sellers must transparently display the total price of each product, including applicable taxes and shipping charges. Any additional fees or costs should be clearly communicated to the buyer.
- Product Variations: If a seller offers variations of a product (e.g., different sizes, colors, or customizations), these options should be clearly outlined in the product listing along with any associated pricing details.
- Inventory Management: Sellers are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels on the platform. If a product becomes unavailable, sellers should promptly update the listing to reflect its current status.
- Prohibited Items: Sellers are strictly prohibited from listing items that violate Unfade's policies. This includes but is not limited to counterfeit goods, prohibited materials, or any items that infringe upon intellectual property rights.
- Order Fulfillment: Sellers must fulfil orders promptly and adhere to the specified shipping times. In the event of any delays or issues, sellers are expected to communicate effectively with buyers and provide timely updates.
- Communication with Buyers: Sellers should maintain open and transparent communication with buyers. This includes responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing assistance throughout the purchasing process.
Returns/Exchanges
- Seller's Return/Exchange Policy: Sellers can set their own return/exchange policies while creating and managing their accounts on Unfade. Sellers have the flexibility to edit these policies at any time.
- Buyer's Right to Return/Exchange: If a buyer receives a product that is damaged, broken, or significantly different from what was shown in the listing, the seller is liable to provide a refund or exchange.
- Refund Process: If a refund is chosen, the seller can initiate it directly on their behalf through any preferred payment mode or create a refund from Razorpay.
- Exchange Process: Alternatively, the seller can send an exchange order to replace the damaged or incorrect product. The buyer should receive the product they originally ordered.
Order Cancellations
- Cancellation by Seller: If a seller chooses to cancel an order for which they have already received payment, the seller must refund the total amount paid by the buyer.
- Refund Amount: The refund amount should include the full purchase amount, including any payment gateway charges deducted before the seller received the payment. For example, if a product was priced at 1000 rupees, and the seller received 980 rupees in the bank after deducting payment gateway charges, the buyer should receive the entire 1000 rupees back.
- Refund Process: Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the refund process is completed promptly to provide the buyer with a seamless experience.
Termination We reserve the right to terminate a seller's account for violations of these policies, fraudulent activities, or any other breach of our terms of service.
Changes to Policies We may update these seller policies from time to time. Sellers will be notified of any changes, and continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policies.
Governing Law These seller policies are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these policies shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
